Keylor Navas grew up in a poor family in the town of San Isidro de El General, which is in the southeast of the province of San José. He loves Jesus very much.
Keylor Navas got his Master of Science in Sport Management from the Johan Cruyff Institute in 2022.
On November 6, 2005, Keylor Navas played his first game for Deportivo Saprissa against Asociación Deportiva Carmelita in a Primera Liga match.

Keylor Navas debuted in La Liga in 2011-12 after a year on loan at Levante UD. In the last round on 13 May 2012, he made his competitive debut in a 3-0 home victory against Athletic Bilbao that secured the club’s first UEFA Europa League qualifying.
On August 3, 2014, Real Madrid triggered Navas’ €10 million buyout clause and signed a six-year deal.
He made his competitive debut on 12 August, sitting on the bench for Iker Casillas in the 2014 UEFA Super Cup, which Real Madrid won 2-0 against Sevilla at Cardiff City Stadium. Navas debuted in a 5-1 victory against Elche at the Santiago Bernabéu on September 23.
Navas wore the number one jersey in 2015-16 La Liga after Casillas left Real Madrid. Madrid traded Navas to Manchester United for David de Gea on August 31, 2015, but the transaction fell through.
He was Real Madrid’s starting goalkeeper in 2016-17. Navas became the first Costa Rican to achieve 100 La Liga appearances on January 29, 2017, during a 3-0 home victory against Real Sociedad. The 2017 CONCACAF Awards named him Player of the Year again for his double-trophy season.

Navas’ sixth season at Real Madrid began when Thibaut Courtois joined the goalkeeping competition. Navas played in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup, which Atlético Madrid won 2-4.
PSG signed Navas for four years on September 2, 2019. (PSG). He made his Ligue 1 debut twelve days later, keeping a clean sheet against Strasbourg at home.

Navas’ 15th European championship tied Rafael Márquez’s CONCACAF record. Bayern Munich defeated Navas in his fourth Champions League final on August 23, 2020.
Navas represented Costa Rica at the 2003 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Finland.
He made his senior national team debut in August 2006 during a European friendly competition against Austria and Switzerland. 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games bronze medallist.

Navas made his FIFA World Cup debut on June 14, 2014, in a 3-1 group stage victory against Uruguay in Fortaleza, and started the remaining two group games, surrendering just one goal as Costa Rica qualified for the knockout rounds for the first time.
Navas made the World Cup team in May 2018. November 2022’s World Cup team included Keylor Navas. In Costa Rica’s opener against Spain, Navas scored seven. In the second group stage encounter, Navas shut off Japan’s attack, delivering Costa Rica a surprising victory.
