Fatal Accident Claims Life of Ali Navadeh in Novato: Investigation Underway
Novato, California – A tragic accident on southbound Highway 101 in Novato claimed the life of 79-year-old Ali Navadeh on Friday. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when Navadeh, who was in a disabled vehicle parked on the right shoulder near Alameda del Prado, was struck by another driver who lost control.
According to Chief Deputy Coroner Roger Fielding, the impact of the collision severely damaged both vehicles. The other driver, a resident of Calistoga in his 60s, suffered minor injuries. Despite emergency responders and a bystander administering CPR, Navadeh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officer Darrel Horner of the California Highway Patrol (CHP) stated that, according to a preliminary investigation, alcohol and/or drugs were not factors in the collision. However, the investigation is ongoing, and a forensic postmortem examination with toxicology testing is scheduled for completion this week.
